Crocheted Halter Top

Just finished this summer halter top to take with me on an upcoming vacation to a beach resort. So happy with the way it turned out! I got the pattern from “Petrakot” on Esty.com. I made a few changes to the pattern:

1. I changed the tie strings and attached them to the back piece, then brought them forward, looping them through the top of the bra, and tied them in a bow behind my neck. Note: I added beads on the end of the ties.

2. I also made this a flat piece instead of in-the-round, and just sewed the back together a little at the top so it opens at the bottom to avoid a tight fit.

3. I preferred a different edge around the bra top. I found this one from another pattern.

I love this top and used every inch of the four 50gr. balls that I had in my stash. Five balls would have been ideal, but I couldn’t find a fifth ball anywhere! I have already started my second halter top, because I need something to do on the airplane ride. The second one is so cute and perfect for the beach!

Aren’t these the cutest?! My co-worker became a new Aunt and wanted a handmade gift. I showed her this set that I found a pattern for on Etsy.com at AngelsChest and she loved it. I made the 3-6 month size, using the softest cotton that I have ever felt sold at Hobby Lobby, called, “I Love This Cotton!” She wanted to use black and white yarn, which I think turned out very cute!

Bear Sweater

Omg, I finally finished this sweater for my grandson! I started this sweater in September last year and it sat unfinished in the knitting basket for too long! I guess I was just having too much fun being with him. I now hope that he can wear it in the Fall, as I made it (hopefully) a little big. If not, I will be trying to extend all the ribbing!!

Baby Shoes & Headband

I just finished this precious set for my brother’s new granddaughter. I just love this set because the colors are so ‘happy!’ I can’t wait to be able to make this again…..hopefully one day for my own granddaughter! The set is a size 6-12 months, with the booties measuring ~4 inches and the headband ~17 inches. This is off in the mail this weekend, to of all places…..North Carolina. Let’s hope and pray that my family and the folks in that region bode well with the approaching hurricane.

Flower Purse

I finished the little girl purse to match the Flower Cardigan! It’s crocheted, unlike the sweater that’s knitted and measures 5″ x 5.5″. I was inspired by this purse design that I found on Etsy, and so I looked for a stitch to use in one of my crochet books. I knit the flower and sewed it on top of the purse. It’s so cute!!
